One Billion Rising, a Benefit for Bridges

We had lots of fun in community while supporting a great organization, benefit event for Bridges- Sexual and Domestic violence support! We helped the Rise Up Center raise over $600.
There were many wonderful dance showcases- bellydance by Ankara Rose World Dance, Argentine Tango by SNH Tango, and Full Motion dance. There was a self- defense demo, African drumming and of course lots of community dancing. Homemade chocolates, elixirs and tea and even Jorge's famous Paella from the fabulous Medina in downtown Milford! Prayers of Nature Studio across from the Rise Up had lovely jewelry for sale.

​Following One Billion Rising, Convergence: Dance, Create, Collaborate an ecstatic dance inspired event which happens several times a year.An opening, reverent, community circle helped to open this transformative space at 7PM. There was a special movement activity followed by DJ Flüff Enüff serving up playful beats yummy sounds and intertwining melodies to dance or co-create.
